About me, the longer version.

Hey, I'm Muhammad Adhi Gozalt, but most people know me as Jael. The name took a few detours to get here: Gozalt turned into Gojal, then Jale, and finally Jael, a nickname my friends gave me in college that simply stuck. I live in Greater Jakarta.

Computers have always been my thing. I never really felt that pull toward anything else. In college a few classes clicked, and writing my research paper, later published on IEEE, is what pulled me into data, machine learning and everything around them. These days I'm working on things I can't really talk about (sorry, it's classified), while trying to keep up with how fast AI is moving.

One thing I've learned about myself: I usually find my motivation after I start, not before. I almost didn't join Bangkit, and I ended up graduating with distinction. So now I just try things first and figure out the rest along the way.

Outside of work, I'm a history nerd, especially war history, thanks to years of films and games set in the past. Fun fact: I know way more about world history than Indonesian history. Assassin's Creed is my favorite series (stealth plus history, what's not to love?), and AC III is the one I keep coming back to. And Twenty One Pilots has been with me since elementary school. Their music gave me hope and motivation when I needed it, and honestly, they're half of who I am.

Back in college a friend and I recorded a few covers with whatever gear we had, and they turned out better than we expected. I don't like being put in the same box as everyone else, I'd rather think things through my own way. Fuel of choice: coffee, afternoon or night.
